BREAKFAST GATHERING On Tuesday morning, March 17, 1981, before 10:00 a.m., the luxurious hall of Los Amores was filled with elegantly dressed ladies and young women. On that day, the AGBU Bourj Hammoud Ladies’ Committee organized a breakfast gathering dedicated to International Women’s Day.--------- The event was presided over by Miss Berjouhi Yozgatian, alongside distinguished ladies Anahit Tanzikian, Seda Youmushajian, Vera Basmadjian, Rosine Arpajian, Janet Vartabedian, and Calliope Keshishian. More than three hundred graceful women and young ladies were in attendance.------------- The Chairwoman of the Committee, Mrs. Arpi Saghrian, delivered the opening remarks. She welcomed the president, the honored guests, and all attendees, emphasizing that just as women are equal in number to men, they should also be equal in rights and responsibilities, as one of the two balanced pillars of humanity.------------ She then called upon everyone, on the occasion of the jubilee anniversaries of AGBU and AYF, to be further inspired with the spirit of service to humanity and the nation, in support of women's causes and our collective national aspirations.------------- During the event, a rich artistic program was presented. The speaker of the day was teacher Mrs. Hermine Sahakian, who in her speech reflected on heroic Armenian women throughout history, from ancient times to the present, citing examples such as the female members of Vardan Mamikonian’s family and others.---------------- At the conclusion, breakfast was served.
«ՆԱԽԱՃԱՇ-ՀԱՒԱՔՈՅԹ» «17 Մարտ 1981, Երեքշաբթի առաւօտեան ժամը 10-էն առաջ լեցուած էր Լոս Ամորեսի շքեղ սրահը ազնուափայլ տիկիններով եւ օրիորդներով: Այդ օրը ՀԲԸՄի Պուրճ Համուտի Տ իկնանց Մասնաճիւղը ձեռնարկած էր նախաճաշ-հաւաքոյթի մը, նուիրուած՝ Կանանց Միջազգային տօնին:--------- Ձեռնարկին նախագահութիւնը ստանձնած էր Օրդ. Պերճուհի Եոզկաթեան, իր շուրջ ունենալով նաեւ ազնուաշուք տիկիններ՝ Անահիտ Տանձիկեան, Սեդա Եումուշաճըքեան, Վերա Պասմաճեան, Ռոզին Արփաճեան, Ժանեթ Վարդապետեան, Քալիոփի Քեշիշեան: Ներկայ էին աւելի քան երեք հարիւր վայելուչ տիկիններ եւ օրիորդներ:---------: Մասնաճիւղն ատենապետուհին՝ Տիկ. Արփի Սաղըրեան, կատարեց բացման խօսքը: Ան բարի գալուստ մաղթեց Օրդ. Նախագահուհիին, պատուոյ տիկիններուն եւ բոլոր ներկաներուն, եւ արծարծեց այն հարցը, թէ իգական սեռը ինչպէս որ թիւով հաւասար է արական սեռին, նոյնպէս ալ իրաւունքներով ու պարտաւորութիւններով ըլլալու է հաւասար՝ այր մարդոց, իբրեւ ամբողջ մարդկուդեան երկու համահաւասար նժարներէն մէկը:-------Ապա ժրաջան ատենապետուհին կոչ ըրաւ բոլորին, որպէսզի ՀԲԸՄի եւ ՀԵԸի յոբելենական զոյգ տարեդարձներուն առթիթով աւելի եւս տոգորուին մարդկութեան եւ ժողովուրդին ծառայելու ոգիով, ի նպաստ կանանց դատին եւ ազգային մեր նուիրական նպատակներուն:------------ Գործադրուեցաւ գեղարուեստական ճոխ յայտագիր--------- Օրուան բանախօսն էր ուսուցչուհի Տիկ. Հերմինէ Սահակեան, որ սիրով ընդառաջած էր վարչութեան փափաքին իր խօսքը ըսելու Կանանց Միջազգային Օրուան առթիւ:----------- Ան օրինակ բերաւ մեր հին պատմութենէն մինչեւ մեր օրերը ունեցած հերոս կիները, ինչպէս՝ Վարդան Մամիկոնեանի կինն ու աղջիկը եւայլք--------: Կատարուեցաւ նախաճաշի սպսարկումը.....: (Kh 1981 Apr-May p52-53)
