40th Jubilee Celebration

1980 05 18 – 40th Jubilee Celebration The jubilee ceremony, held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Mr. Boutros Harb, took place at the auditorium of the AGBU Levon G. Nazarian School on Sunday, May 18, 1980, at 10:30 a.m.-------------- This ceremony, which crowned the jubilee events, brought together members of the AGBU Lebanon District Committee and the Educational Committee, as well as teachers of our schools, graduates, parents, and students.------------- Following the arrival of the representative of the Minister of Education, Mr. Said El Hajj, the ceremony began with the national anthems of Lebanon, AGBU, and the Tarouhy Hagopian School.----------------- The opening speech was delivered by Principal Miss Angele Janjanian, who provided a summary of the work carried out by the Jubilee Committee. ---------------- The two keynote speakers of the day were the poet Vahe-Vahian and Dr. Marie Kasbarian, Chairperson of the Educational Committee and a graduate of Tarouhy Hagopian School.-------- In her closing remarks, Mrs. Meline Sepetjian, on behalf of the Jubilee Committee, expressed gratitude to the day’s speakers and the performed in the artistic program.
