20, 02 1980 – TOROS SARKISIAN RESIGNS FROM OFFICE Among our honored employee AGBU Lebanon office is Toros Sarkisian, who, after more than a quarter of a century of service to the AGBU, resigned from his post at the end of February for health reasons.--------------- At first glance, his position might have appeared easy; however, in reality it was not so, as it demanded constant responsibility, patience, and prudence. Endowed with these qualities, Sarkisian carried out his duties with meticulous care and conscientiousness throughout his many years of service.-------------------- Independently of his official position, Sarkisian was known not only within AGBU and AYA circles, but also throughout the community, as a distinguished actor and a technical worker.-------------- As one of the founding members of the AYA Vahram Papazian Theatre Group, he contributed to almost all of its productions, taking an active role both as an actor and as a technical worker.--------------On the occasion of his retirement, the joint staffs of AGBU and AYA organized a farewell reception, which took place on February 20, 1980, at the AGBU Central Office.” (Hoosh 1980, May 15, p. 22)“ (38H) 1980 02 20
