AGBU Yervant Demirdjian Kindergarten And Elementary Graduations

1978 07 25 AGBU Yervant Demirdjian Kindergarten And Elementary Graduations--------- The AGBU Yervant Demirjian School and “Dibar” Kindergarten joint year-end ceremony took place on Sunday, June 25,----------- in the school auditorium.----------- After the national anthems of Lebanon and AGBU were performed, the event was opened by Mrs. H. Pathaputian.-------------- She provided some information about the school and emphasized the following:------------ the nobility of the soul is irreplaceable, and decent and virtuous people sustain human society,---------- families, and institutions. Foreign countries are in need of such individuals.-----------The program consisted of two parts:---------------Part I, was dedicated to the graduating “Dibar” Kindergarten "Dzaghig" class.-----------The graduates, dressed in beautiful traditional costumes, welcomed the audience with a "Welcome" song.------------ The program concluded with a "Farewell" directed to their beloved school.------------ Eighteen children of “Dibar” Kindergarten received their certificates from Dr. M. Kasparyan, Chairwoman of AGBU Lebanon's Education Committee.------------ Part II, representing the Elementary Department, began with Taniel Varoujan's "Light,"----------- followed by choir performances. Instrumental pieces like "Ballad" and "Waltz" were played.------------- The Armenian message was read by M. Gourtigian.------------ Twenty graduates received their diplomas and awards from AGBU Executive Members H. Ouzunian and A. Yesayan.------------In his speech, Mr. Vahe-Vahean highlighted that the forces of evil cannot destroy the good and the beautiful.-------------At the end of the event, the audience enjoyed a student exhibition of drawings and handicrafts.---------------
