1977 11 24 AGBU-Ladis Auxiliary- first meeting for this year… The first meeting of the AGBU-Lebanon Ladies Auxiliary all Chapters, with for this year took place on Thursday, November 24, 1977,----------- attended by around 150 members and supporters.------------ Tributes were paid to the recently deceased Mrs. Nevart Crsep, who had dedicated many years as the president of the Ladies Auxiliary, as well as to Mrs. Hermine Varjabedyan, who recently left Lebanon and had previously led the Ladies Auxiliary with dedication for years.-------------- The newly elected president, Mrs. Satenig Manougian, is now entrusted with the responsibility. ---------The branch's president praised her qualities, describing her as an innovative, caring, and devoted Armenian woman.---------- Acknowledging her long-standing national contributions, the committee members chose her as their leader.------------ Mrs. Satenik Manukyan, in her speech, emphasized the significance of the Armenian community in Lebanon, especially regarding its role in preserving national identity in the diaspora.--------- She also highlighted the AGBU's efforts in the cultural, social, and charitable sectors.---------
