*1975 09 08 AGBU-AYA V Papazian Theater Group Performences in London and Paris:----- In 1975, the AGBU-AYA Vahram Papazian Theatre Group had the opportunity to visit England and France in September upon a special invitation. The aim was to perform several of their theatrical productions for the Armenian communities in these countries.------------ On September 8, a group of 20 departed for London. By September 10, at the Commonwealth Institute, a crowd of approximately 5,000 to 6,000 theatre enthusiasts gathered in the hall. After a warm welcome from Mr. Artin Mutafian, the Chairman of the AGBU's Local Committee, Mr. Sarkis Minassian, the general director of the Theatre Group, delivered the opening speech, encouraging everyone to support Armenian cultural organizations.-------------- The performance of “Honorable Beggars” received enthusiastic applause, with several audience members expressing their admiration for the collective performance of the actors and especially praising the director's unique talent and innovations.----------- On Saturday, September 13, despite heavy rain, the hall was again filled with theatre lovers for the play “Suspicion in a Woman's Mind.” This modern theatrical production impressed even English theatre professionals, who compared it to other European productions.----------- After heartfelt thanks and precious gifts, the troupe moved on to France, beginning their performances on September 17 in Paris with “Suspicion in a Woman's Mind.” Subsequent shows took place in Marseille's Théâtre des Variétés on September 19 and in Valence at the Municipal Theatre on September 20. Both cities, with their Armenian populations of 50,000-60,000 and 5,000 respectively, warmly received the Theatre Group, filling the venues and offering heartfelt hospitality. Armenians traveled from nearby cities like Lyon and Grenoble to attend.------------- Returning to Paris, the final performances took place on September 24 and 25, featuring both “Suspicion in a Woman's Mind” and “Honorable Beggars” at the beautifully impressive venue, Chaillot-Galliéra on Champs-Élysées, which was packed to capacity.----------- This theatrical tour was organized by two main committees: a) AGBU's France Regional Committee, and b) AGBU's London Committee, along with their Women's and Youth Auxiliaries and cultural teams. «1975իՀԲԸՄ-ՀԵԸի Վահրամ Փափազեան Թատերախումբը, բարեբախտութիւնը ունեցաւ Սեպտեմբեր ամսուն յատուկ հրաւէրով մեկնելու Անգլիա ու Ֆրանսա՝ տեղւոյն հայութեան հրամցնելու համար իր թատերախաղերէն կարգ մը ներկայացումներ: 8 Սեպտեմբերին 20 հոգինոց խումբը ճամբայ կ'ելլէր դէպի Լոնտոն:------ 10 Սեպտեմբերին, Քամնուէլթի Ինսթիթիւթ: Շուրջ 5-6 հազար հաշուող թատերասէր հասարակութիւն մը փութացած էր հանդիսասրահ:------- Բարեգալուստի եւ ողջոյնի ջերմ խօսքերէ ետք՝ ՀԲԸՄի Տեղական Մասնաժողովի ատենապետ Տիար Արթին Մութաֆեանի կողմէ, Թատերախումբի ընդհանուր պատասխանատու Պրն. Սարգիս Մինասեան կ'ընէ աւուր պատշաճի բացման խօսքը, կոչ ընելով բոլորին համախմբուիլ հայկական մշակութային կազմակերպութիւններու շուրջ:-------- «Մեծապատիւ Մուրացկաններ»ով հանդիսատէսը կը տարուի դերակատարներուն խաղարկութեամբ, մէկէ աւելի անգամներ իր հիացումը յայտնելով ծափողջիւններով: Ներկաներէն շատեր, բեմ բարձրանալով կը յայտնէին իրենց բարձր տպաւորութիւնը, թատերախումբին հաւաքական կատարողութեան ու մանաւանդ բեմադրիչին բացառիկ տաղանդին ու նորարարութեանց հանդէպ:------- Շաբաթ, 13 Սեպտեմբեր. Երեկոյեան նոյն սրահը դարձեալ լեցուն է թատերասէրներով, հակառակ տեղատարափ անձրեւին: «Կասկածը Կնոջ Մտքին Մէջ»ի ելոյթին------ հանդիսատէսը այս անգամ ինքզինք դէմ յանդիման կը գտնէ թատերական արդիական բենադրութեան մը առջեւ: Համոզումը այլեւս ընդհանուր է: Ներկայ եղող անգլիացի բեմի մարդիկ իսկ բաղդատականը կ'ընեն եւրոպական այլ բեմադրութեանց ու կարգ մը դերակատարումներու հետ:--------- Շնորհակալութեան սրտաբուխ խօսքեր ու թանկագին յուշանուէրներ------------Ֆրանսայի մէջ հիւրախաղերը կը սկսին 17 Սեպտեմբերին: Բացումը կը կատարուի «Կասկածը Կնոջ մտքին Մէջ» ներկայացումով Փարիզի մէջ:-------19 եւ 20 Սեպտեմբերին՝ յաջորդաբար Մարսէյլ-Թէաթր տէ Վարիէթէ—ու Վալանս (քաղաքապետարանի Թատրոն): 776 եւ 554 քլմ. Յաջորդաբար դէպի հարաւ արեւելք գտնուող երկու քաղաքները, առաջինը՝ շուրջ 50-60000 հայկական գաղութով, իսկ երկրորդը՝ շուրջ 5000 հայրենակիցներով բնակուած, ջերմ ընդունելութիւն մը կը վերապահեն Թատերախումբին, թէ լեցուն սրահներով եւ թէ գուրգուրոտ հիւրընկալութեամբ: Հայեր եկած են նոյնիսկ Լիոնէն, Կրընոպլէն ու մօտակայ շրջաններէն:------Վերադարձ Փարիզ. 24 եւ 25 Սեպտեմբերին՝ «Կասկածը Կնոջ մտքին Մէջ» ու «Մեծապատիւ Մուրացկաններ»: Եզրափակիչ ելոյթն է Շան Զ 'էլիզէի Ժորժ Ե. Պողոտային վրայ գտնուող Շայօ-Կալիերա գեղեցկօրէն տպաւորիչ հանդիսասրահը նեղ կուգայ թատերասէրներուն:-------- Թատերական այս շրջապտոյտին զոյգ կազմակերպիչներն էին՝ ա) ՀԲԸՄի Ֆրանսայի Շրջ. Յանձնաժողովը, բ) ՀԲԸՄի Լոնտոնի Մասնաժողովը, իրենց Տիկնանց Օժանդակ և Երիտասարդաց ու մշակութային կազմերուն:--------Բոլոր քաղաքներու մէջ Թատերախումբի անդամներուն ի պատիւ կազմակերպուեցան խանդավառ հանդիպուներ և հիւրասիրութիւններ....» (Kh 1975 Dec-1977 Jun pages21-26)
