AYA V. Papazian Theater Group Performing “Cyrano De Bergerac”

1975 04 05 Since 5th of April AGBU-AYA V. Papazian Theater Group Performing “Cyrano De Bergerac” (A play written in 1897 by Edmond Rostand) on Caloust Gulbengian Stage. ------ Since April 5th, the AGBU-AYA"Vahram Papazian Theater Group" has been performing Edmond Rostand's world-famous play "Cyrano de Bergerac." With this production, the Papazian Theater Group took on the bold challenge of staging a particularly demanding play. This notion arises because the play's essence—its preparation, performance, technique, and stage design—required significant effort, dedication, time, and especially, acting talent.---------Thanks to the group's organized and systematic work, director Krikor Satamian's diligent and attentive rehearsals, as well as the dedication and conscious cooperation of the actors, it can be said that the group achieved success. Satamian sought to stage this production because Cyrano has been one of his favorite characters, one he desired to embody at any cost. According to him, "Cyrano's soul is the crystalization of the Armenian spirit, the Armenian character." -----------
