AGBU Antelias Secondary and Kindergarten Graduation

1973 07 01 AGBU Antelias Secondary and Kindergarten Graduation ------------Each year, the AGBU Antelias school traditionally held a joint performance for the kindergarten and elementary school levels. However, due to political circumstances, this year's performance took place in the school hall on July 1, 1973, in an intimate setting with a concise and neat program. Attendees included members of the AGBU Antelias branch and parents of the graduating classes.------------ After the ceremonial entry of the graduates, the event began with the singing of the Lebanese and AGBU anthems by the sixth-grade students. Following a welcoming speech by young Garineh Basmadjian, the students of the “Kindergarten Graduate *Dzaghih” class performed various recitations, choruses, and a short play. Each graduate also had a role in the program.------------ The distribution of kindergarten certificates then followed, with 21 children receiving their first certificates. Addressing the kindergarten, Nayiri Demirjian delivered a farewell recitation. Mr. Manoug Ouzounian presented the annual report in brief, expressing the hope that next year's event would be held in the grand hall of the future Boghos Garmirian school, noting that the building was already under construction, thanks to the benefactor Mr. Kevork Garmirian.----------- The elementary school certificates were then distributed by the director and members of the AGBU Antelias District Committee. This year, there were nine graduates. Varoujan Margossian read the farewell message. The event concluded with a heartfelt recitation of V. Davidian's poem "To the Armenian People" by H. Minassian.
