AGBU Yervant Demirdjian Elementary school Garaduation
1972 06 23 AGBU Y Demirdjian Elementary school and Dibar Kindergaten Garaduation AGBU "Yervant Demirjian School" celebrated its 15th anniversary this year. Last Friday, on June 23, we had the privilege of attending the primary school's end-of-year ceremony, confirming that AGBU possesses an exemplary primary school. The Calouste Gulbenkian Hall was filled with an enthusiastic crowd of parents and friends. ------------- The event was presided over by the school’s benefactor and the Chairman of the AGBU Lebanon District Committee, Mr. and Mrs. Yervant Demirjian. In their absence, their eldest son, Mr. Sarkis Demirjian, the Treasurer of the Educational Committee, and Mrs. Seta Demirjian, took their place.-------------- Following the impressive entry of the sixth-grade classes, the school's principal, Mr. Yervant A
կishian, opened the ceremony, stating that this year, the school gifts the nation with 48 promising “flowers.” Afterward, the graduating students presented a refined artistic program. Verjin Cherchian recited Vahan Deryan's poem "To My People," and Mayda Kurejian delivered Paul Verlaine's "The Harvest" in French.-------------- The awards ceremony followed, with more than 80 students receiving prizes for securing top marks. Immediately after, diplomas were awarded to graduates. A total of 19 girls and 29 boys received graduation certificates. Graduation farewell messages were read by Arta Asilyan in Arabic and Asghik Torosyan in Armenian.------------- Finally, the Director of the AGBU Northern Armenian Institution, poet Vahe Vaheyan, took the stage to deliver his closing remarks.------------ ՀԲԸՄիութեան Երուանդ Տեմիրճեան վարժարանը այս տարի բոլորեց իր գոյութեան 15ամեակը: Անցեալ Ուրբաթ 23 Յունիս, պատեհութիւնը ունեցանք ներկայ գտնուելու նախակրթարանի ամավերջի հանդէսին եւ համոզուելու, որ յանձին անորՀԲԸՄիութիւնը ունի տիպար նախակրթարան մը: Գ. Կիւլպէնկեան հանդիսասրահը կը յորդեր ծնողներու ու բարեկամներու խուռներամ բազմութեամբ:-------Հանդէսը կը վայելէր նախագահութիւնը վարժարանի բարերար եւ ՀԲԸՄի Լիբ Շրջ. Յանձնաժողովի ատենապետ Տէր եւ Տիկին Երուանդ Տեմիրճեաններու, զորս ի բացակայութեան կը փոխարինէր անոր անդրանիկ որդին՝ Կրթ. Յանձնախումբի գանձապահը եւ Տիկին Սեդա Տեմիրճեան:-------------- Զուգընթաց Զ. Դասարաններու տպաւորիչ մուտքէն ետք, հանդէսին բացումը կատարեց վարժարանին տնօրէն Պրն. Երուանդ Ակիշեանը, որ իր խօսքին մէջ ըսաւ թէ այս տարի կրթական այս օճախը ազգին կը նուիրէ 48 խօստմնալից ծաղիկներ: Ապա Ընթացաւարտ սան-սանուհիներու կողմէ հանրութեան հրամցուեցաւ գեղարուեստական կոկիկ յայտագիր մը: Վերժին Չերչեան արտասանեց Վ. Տէրեանի «Իմ ժողովուրդին» քերթուածը», Մայտա Քիւրէճեան ֆրանսերէն լեզուով արտասանեց Փ Վերլէնի «Այգեկուտքը: -----------Ապա կատարուեցաւ մրցանակներու բաշխումը՝ աւելի քան 80 սան սանուհիներ, բարձրագոյն նիշեր ապահոված ըլլալնուն համար ստացան մրցանակներ: Անմիջապէս յետոյ տեղի ունեցաւ շրջանաւարտ դասարաններու վկայականաց բաշխումը: 19 սանուհիներ եւ 29 սաներ արժանացան աւարտական վկայականի: Ընթացաւարտ զուգընթաց Զ. Դասարաններու կողմէ հրաժեշտի ուղերձներ կարդացին Արտա Ասիլեան արաբերէն, եւ Ասղիկ Թորոսեան՝ հայերէն:-------- Ի վերջոյ բեմ բարձրացաւ ՀԲԸՄի ՀիւսիսեանՀայագ. Հիմնարկի տնօրէն, բանաստեղծ Վահէ-Վահեան, իր Հուսկ բանքը ըսելու: (197 06 23 Kh Apr Sep p115)
