1972 06 18 AGBU Antelias Elementary and Kindergarten End year Graduation event « ---------"This year, Antelias Primary School presented its 16th graduating class at its year-end ceremony on June 18, 1972, held in the Vahan Tekeyan School's auditorium. The event was presided over by the school's benefactors, Mr. and Mrs. Keork Garmirian, and was sponsored by the Armenian General Benevolent Union's (AGBU) Lebanon Education Committee.------------- The ceremony began with the national anthems of Lebanon and the AGBU, followed by graduating student V. Avetikian's heartfelt recitation of Baruyr Sevak's poem Areve "Sun." The school's principal, Mr. Manoug Ouzunian, read the academic report, expressing gratitude to the AGBU's esteemed educational Committee and the benefactors, Mr. and Mrs. Kevork Garmirian, whose generosity would soon enable the school to have its own building. The land was already purchased, and a cherished dream was set to become reality.----------------- Afterwards, diplomas were awarded to the kindergarten graduates. M. Mkhitarian welcomed the guests, while Haji Avetikian delivered a farewell speech. Under the applause of their parents, 20 young children received their certificates. Shortly after, nine graduates from the primary school ascended the stage to receive their diplomas from Mrs. Garmirian."--------------------
