AGBU Veterans and Philentrophist Committee yearly Dinner In Honor The AGBU new Philantophists Mr and Mrs Kevork Garmirians, Mr Sarkis Azadian and Mrs Elmasd Hinayikians.---- On January 9, 1973, the AGBU Veterans' Committee held an exclusive dinner in the spacious and luxurious hall of the AGBU Alec Manougian Center in honor of the new AGBU benefactors, Mr. and Mrs. Kevork Garmirian, Mr. Sarkis Azadyan and Ms. Elmasd Hinaikyn. The initiative enjoyed the high patronage and chairmanship of the Lebanese Social Affairs Minister H.E. Mr Kazem el-Khalil. And the presence of AGBU Leb. Distr. Comm. Chairman, philanthropist Mr. Yervant Demirjian, philanthropist Mrs. Satenig Nazarian and new benefactors. The opening speech was made by the Veterans Committee Chairman Dr. Hagop Kerkyasharian. Dr. Karekin Boujikanian gave the brief biographies of the benefactors, taking into account the role of the benefactors' wives in the benevolent work done by their husbands. ---------- Mr. Minister took the floor and expressed his satisfaction, his feelings towards the Armenians, and praised the contribution brought by the Armenians to the rise of Lebanon, both economically and culturally.
