1972 07 07 Lila Karageuzian Awarded by President S. Frenjeyeh On July 7, 1972, The President of the Republic of Lebanon, Suleiman Franjie, awarded Miss Lila Karageozian, a Philanthropist and a long-term member of the AGBU Central Board, awarded the Order of the Commander of the National Order. To the President and Ms First Lady Iris Frangieh, present at the awarding ceremony were HH Aram I Catholicos, Armenian community spiritual Leaders—Leb Parlyement Arm. MPs. Representative of the Ambassador of Armenia in Lebanon, the "Karageozoan" Foundation director in Lebanon, Mr Noubar Tavitian and others. The president reminded that since his tenure, Miss Lila Krageozian is the second Armenian philanthropist to be awarded the Commander's Order, the first being Alec Manougian, president of AGBU. ------------------At the end of the official section, the award-winning philanthropist and other attendees were dinner guests of the President and Mrs Slaymen Frangier.-------------------
