AGBU President and Delegation members visiting HE President Sleyman Franjeye and Dinner at the Presedential Palace

On April 13, 1971, the President of the Republic of Lebanon, Sleiman Franjie, hosted a lavish dinner in the Baabda Palace in honour of the President of the AGBU, Mr Alec Manougian, in the company of Mr Yervant Demirjian, Prof. Parounag Tovmasian, Yervant Jidedjian, and Metre Hrach Setragian, where President Franjieh and President Manougian had a one-on-one talk. Iskenderian did the translation:----------- The President of the Republic spoke with praise, in addition to the great work done by the Armenian General Benevolent Union, affirming that Armenians have always been a constructive hand in this country, in this regard, making a tribute to the Armenians who came as immigrants and today. among the Armenians who occupied high positions.
