ՄԱՆՈՒԿԵԱՆԸ ԵՒ Ե. ՀԻՒՍԻՍԵԱՆԸ: The AGBU60th and AYA40th anniversary celebrations took place on the evening of April 15 in the luxurious hall of the UNESCO Palace, where a crowd of about 2500 selected spectators gathered. The official hymns were followed by the AGBU Beirut chapter chairman, Mr Setrag Kasarjian's opening speech. Then Leb. Dist. Committee member Prof. Parounag Tovmasian referred to the life and work of AGBU presidents Alec Manoogian and Yervant Husisian. Mr. Mardiros Iskenderian spoke in Arabic about the good deeds done by the union and its grateful president in Lebanon. Then, H.E. Minister of Education Nejib Abou Haidar took the stage. He praised the Lebanese Armenians and invited President Manougian to the stage to present him with the "Commander" Order of Merit of the Mothers on behalf of the Lebanese government. Then, Mr Yervant Hususian's Representative, Mr Hagop Seferian, was invited, to whom Mr The minister handed over the Order of Meritorious Knight of Mothers. President Alec Manougian, after expressing his and Lebanese Armenian's thanks and gratitude to Lebanon, then read a meaningful speech. -----------------ՀԲԸՄիութեան 65ամեակի եւ ՀԵԸի 40ամեակի տօնակատարութիւնը տեղի ունaեցաւ Ապրիլի երեկոյեան, Իւնեսքոյի պալատին շքեղ սրահին մէջ, ուր փութացած էր շուրջ 2500 ընտրանի հանդիսականներու բազմութիւն մը: Պաշտօնական քայլերգներուն յաջորդեց ՀԲԸՄի Պէյրութի մասնաժողովի ատենապետ Պրն. Սեդրակ Գասարճեանի բացման խօսքը: Ապա Լիբ. Շրջ. Յանձնաժողովի ատենադպիր Փրոֆ. Բարունակ Թովմասեան անդրադարձաւ ՊՊ Ալեք Մանուկեանի եւ Երուանդ Հիւսիսեանի կեանքին ու գործին : արաբերէն լեզուով խօսեցաւ Պրն Մարտիրոս Իսկենտերեանը, որ թուեց միութեան եւ անոր երախտաշատ նախագահին գործած բարիքները Լիբանանի մէջ: Յետոյ բեմ բարձրացաւ Ն.Վ. կրթական նախարար Նեճիպ Ապու Հայտարը, որ անգլերէն լեզուով լիբանանահայութեան մասին հպարտառիթ խօսքեր ընելէ ետք բեմ հրաւիրեց նախագահ Մանուկեանը, որպէսզի անոր յանձնէր, յանուն լիբանանեան կառավարութեան, Մայրիներու Արժանեաց »Քօմանտէօր»ի շքանշանը: Ապա հրաւիրուեցաւ Պրն. Հիւսիսեանի ներկայացուցիչ Պրն. Յակոբ Սեֆերեանը, որուն Պրն. Նախարարը յանձնեց Մայրիներու Արժանեաց ասպետի շքանշանը: Խօսք առաւ նախագահ Ալեք Մանուկեանը որ շնորհակալութեան ու յանուն հայ ժողովուրդին՝ Լիբանանին յայտնելէ ետք, կարդաց իմաստալից ճառ մը: (Hoosh 1971 05 15 p9-10-11)
