1969 Jun 22 AGBU Antelias Elementary School and Kindergarten Graduation It was the End yearly diploma distribution ceremony of AGBU Antilias Elementary that had been described (In the main article of Khosnag (1969 Kh May-Jul p206-207)). The date is Sunday, June 22. Venue: V. Barsamian Hall of V. Tekeian School. Historically, this was one of the two old schools, fraternized by the same fate, which presents itself to us with the certificates of only ten kindergartens and only two elementary schools. In other words, we are in the exact place where once the conditions dictated and allowed that even in that distant suburb of the capital, a candle could be lit so that the Armenian child would have a promise, surrounded by hopes for the future. Principal Mr Manoug Ouzounia will say in his official newsletter: "...our school is 13 years old, we have 110 students, strong teaching staff and 16,000 L.L. an annual budget that is (always) insufficient. The Antilias region must have its own high school. AGBU should be able to give a clear and certain answer. So, let's start a campaign to endow our Antilles with a new and spacious school.
«ՀԲԸՄիութեան Անթիլիասի նախակրթարանի վկայականներու բաշխման հանդէսն էր զոր նկարագրեցինք: Օրը Կիրակի, Յունիս 22: Հանդիսավայր՝ Վ. Թէքէեան վարժարանի Պարսամեան սրահը: Անցեալին, նոյն ճակատագրով եղբայրաացած սա երկու անշուք դպրոցներէն Անթիլիասն է, որ մեզի կը ներկայանայ միայն տասը մանկապարտէզի ու միայն երկու նախակրթարանի վկայականներով...: Այսինքն կը գտնուինք ճիշդ հոն, ուր երբեմնի պայմանները թելադրեցին ու թոյլատրեցին որ մայրաքաղաքին այդ հեռաւոր արուարձանին մէջ եւս լոյսի կանթեղ մ'ալ բոցկլտար, որ ցիրուցան հայ մանկտին երդիկ մը ունենար՝ գալիքի յոյսերով պարուրուած: Տնօրէն Պրն. Մանուկ Ուզունեան իր պաշտօնական տեղեկագրով կ'ըսէ.- «...13 տարեկան է մեր դպրոցը, 110 սան-սանուհիներ ունինք, » հոգինոց ուսուցչական կազմ եւ 16,000 լ. ոսկի տարեկան պիւտճէ մը որ (միշտ) անբաւարար է»: Տըպպայայի, Պիւրճ Համուտի մէկ մասին, Պաուշուրիէի, բայց մանաւանդ այս օրուան հայ Անթիլիասի այս մեսրոպեան տունը իր վկայականները Թէքէեանի մէջ բաժնէ...: Հրամայական պահանջք, որ Անթիլիասը ունենայ իր բարկարգ ուսունարանը: ՀԲԸՄիութիւնն է որ պիտի կարենայ տալ յստակ ու որոշ պատասխանը: Մեր մէջ սրտցաւ ազգայիններ չեն պակսիր ...
