1960 Nov 5-13 “SHIRAG” Armenia Football team in Lebanon. Football friendly matches against AGBU-Antranik, and Vasbouragan . On the eve of November 10, more than 4,000 sports fans gathered in Beirut Stadium to witness the second competition of Armenia's "Shirak" football team. This time, the newly trained but fierce boys of AGBU-Antranik were in an unequal "battle" against the Champions of Leninakan, who could do only one thing - to show their courage. The football players of AGBU-Antranik succeeded in what was expected from them. They, showing commendable bravery, withstood the continuous attacks unleashed by the conspirators and were defeated only by 8-0. On November 13, In a warm family atmosphere, The Antranik Sports Committee organized a Dinner-Dance night in honour of the Shirag team and delegation members. There were songs, dances and cheers.
