1939 Jan 7 Arshag Tchobanian 50th Jubilee
1939 Jan 7 The Armenian community in Beirut celebrated with a nationwide ceremony. Arshag Tchobanian's 50th Jubilee of his scholar achievements. at St Joseph University hall in Beirut, under the auspices of the Armenian Spiritual Leaders. The Lebanese Armenian MPs, the representatives of Antelias Catholicosate, Bzmmar Monastry, the Mekhitarists, Arm. Political Party representatives, the intellectuals, as well, and on the initiative of AGBU Armenian Youth Association, the Honoring Committee next to the spiritual leaders, the Jubelee Executive members were Rev. H. Hovhanesian, V. Meserlian, Y. Daronian, Dr. H. Tchblakian, H. Kranian, S. Zaven and H. Boghosian.

Հ. Յովհաննէսեան, Վ. Մսըրլեան (Ատենապետ) Պ. Ե. Տարօնեան (Ատենադպիր) Տոքթ. Յարութիւն Չպլագեան (Գանձապահ), ՊՊ. Հմ, Գրանեան, Ս. Զաւէն և Յովհաննէս Պօղոսեան՝ խորհրդականներ:» (Zartonk 1939 Jan 10 p1-4)
