REOPENING OF THE ALEC MANOOGIAN CENTER ART GALLERY — THE SOLO EXHIBITION OF FRANÇOISE MÜLLER-AHARONIAN The elegant art gallery of the AGBU-AYA Alec Manoogian Center is a name well known within artistic circles. Before the nightmarish days of 1975, numerous renowned local and foreign artists had exhibited their works there. The merciless war, however, for a certain period, had paralyzed this hall as well, along with many others.------------ About a month ago, the name of this gallery was heard once again. Indeed, the Executive Board of AYA reactivated the Fine Arts Committee, which in turn undertook the reopening of the Center’s art gallery with an exhibition of paintings by Françoise Müller-Aharonian.---------- The opening took place on December 28, 1979, in the presence of a select art-loving audience, and continued until January 15, 1980.---------------- Müller-Aharonian’s art is distinctive—beautiful, captivating, and profound. It presents a surreal world which, at first glance, appears complex and somewhat difficult to comprehend. Yet a deeper immersion into that world can lead us toward certain conclusions and interpretations.-----------
