40th TAROUHY ARTWORK EXHIBITION

1980-05-01 TAROUHY ARTWORK EXHIBITION The entrance and corridors of V. Tekeyan School were filled with an interested crowd. Shortly thereafter, the opening of the Tarouhy Hagobian School art exhibition took place. The exhibition was organized by the 41st Anniversary Jubilee Committee, the Alumni Association, and the Ladies’ Auxiliary Committee. Their principal objective was to present, through works of art, the profile of the Daruhian graduate as the exemplary Armenian woman. A large gathering—former alumnae, parents, and friends—fully conscious of their responsibilities, eagerly awaited the opportunity to view the exhibited works. The organizer of the exhibition’s practical arrangements and the school’s art teacher, Mr. Vazgen Tiutiunjian, took the podium. He welcomed those present and then emphasized the importance of the expressions of respect to which Daruhi Hakobian was so rightfully entitled. (Kh 1980 Jun, pp. 29–30 ---
