1951 Sep 20 AGBU USA Juniors Organize to Participate in the School Building Campaign. “We are happy to announce that the AGBU Juniors have already formed a minor dollar Campaign Committee, and are appealing to young Armenians to participate in the 300,000 campaign of the AGBU, in order to build one good school in the Near East, in the name of young Armenians of America. A campaign advertisement published by the Committee requests every Armenian boy and girl to contribute their tiny share "only one dollar" to the Junior campaign. They want to build a school in Syria or Lebanon, which will be just like one of the schools our children have in United States; a school that is bright and cheerful, roomy and clean, with desks and blackboards, and a spacious playground outside… Every young Armenian in America will be glad to help the AGBU Junior Campaign Committee to realize this excellent project.” (Miout n270p283)
