1946 Mar 6: AGBU and the Repatriation & One Million fundraising campaign ...After two successive years of Emergency Campaigns, the Quarter Million Dollar Campaign and the Half Million Dollar Campaign, the AGBU has already started its third and vital campaign for One Million Dollars as a Repatriation Fund. The AGBU is confident that with the full cooperation of its chapters and devoted friends, it will make this Repatriation Fund a success. (Hoosharar 1946 Sep p266) "In the course of its 1946-1947 campaigns, it worked hand-in-hand with many compatriotic associations in the United States; they had a great deal to do with the success of the various national campaigns. Each association took it upon itself to tap its own network for funds and transmit the fruits of its labour to AGBU headquarters.
