Hovhanes Keledjian a hero that rescued hundreds of Armenian refugees kidnapped in Arabian deserts

Hovhanes Keledjian (of Marash origin), with exceptional courage, devoted himself to the cause of liberation of Kerek region of Agapa as he participated in the military operations of the sheriff's army and succeeded in liberating hundreds of Armenians. In 1919, he was granted release order from Prince Emir Zayed, for all the Armenian refugees kidnapped by Arab tribespeople, In January 1919.
