AGBU-ANTRANIK BASKETBAL MEN and WOMEN’S TEAMS in EGYPT

1968 Apr 13-20 MEN and WOMEN AGBU-AYA Antranik Basketball teams in Egypt. At the invitation of AGBU Cairo's HMEM-Noubar Sports Association. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its foundation, the Cairo H.M.E.M-Noubar organized a basketball tournament, with the participation of the Beirut AGBU-Antranik and Alexandria H.M.E.M.-Noubar Basketball competitions for girls and boys in Egypt. Saturday, April 13, AGBU-Antranik basketball women's and men's teams went to Egypt. On the same day, two competitions took place. On Sunday, April 14, Easter morning, the group assisted to St. Liturgy, after which a prayer and blessing took place in the Presbytery. The competitions on the tournament's second day took place in the evening. On Monday, April 15, the group toured Cairo's historical sights. On Wednesday, the group left for Alexandria. Lebanon women's and Boy's teams had their matches against Alexandria-AGBU-Noubar teams. On Friday morning, the group returned to Cairo and, in the afternoon, was the guest of the "Kegharouesdasirats" for lunch. In the evening, the AYA double teams played their last matches, and on the same night, HMEM-Noubar gave a reception dinner in honour of the AYA double teams in the HMEM-Noubar hall. The group said goodbye to Cairo on Saturday morning and left for Beirut.. --------*
