Particpants AGBU-AYA youth chapters from Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Cypruse, Jordan and Greece Apr 11 CLOSING ATHLETIC GAMES AND PARADE CELEBRATION *"30,000 Spectators in the Beirut Sports Stadium Applauded the Final Glorious Ceremony of the 7th Navasartian Games" "On April 9, 10, 11, This sports festival was crowned with the main ceremony held on Monday afternoon on the central playing field of the Beirut main gymnasium, which was also closed with a glorious and impressive procession of more than 2,500 brave sportsmen and women. The 30,000 spectators who filled the stadium's tribunes had absolute pleasure in this sports final ceremony, the program of which also included a friendly Football competition between the AYA "Antranik" vs "Mazraa" team, athletic movements, training, led by Miss. Alice Gilgatian, Danish moderate exercises, led by Mr Arsen Ardashesian, Arabic and Armenian folk dance show under the direction of Mr Sarkis Pascalian from Paris, and a cycling team show. All this was Coordinated and supervised by Mr Hrach Manougian. The event enjoyed the high patronage of HE, Lebanon's Prime Minister—the President of the Day, Mr. Sargis Shekerjian and the Lady of Honour, Mrs. Nina Jidejian. This magnificent AGBU-AYA sports festival was closed with a banquet given in honour of the participant athletes in the Zareh Noubar Club. The presence of Armenian Diva, the Nightingale" of Armenia, 'Kohar Kasparian, added to the brightness of the gathering; she handed some of the trophies and cups over to the leading athletes."
