V. Papazian Theater committee and Members Meeting Prof Roupen Zartaian

1964 Dec 2 AGBU-AYA The V. Papazian Theater committee organized a Meeting in honour of Prof. in Cultural Arts, Mr Roupen Zartaian, at Zareh Noubar Club. Mr Rouben Zartarian (Doctor of Arts, Director of the Art Department of the Armenian Academy of Sciences.) will visit Lebanon from November 24 to December 24. The AYA Vahram Papzean Theater Committee organized a meeting at the Zareh Noubar Club". "...After the congratulatory speech of the Theater Committee chairman, the guest of the day addressed with heartfelt words... conveying the warm greetings of Prominent actor Vahram Papazian from Armenia to all the V. P. theatre group members..." and added "...Do it in such a way that you justify your theatre, which bears the name of a globally famous tragedy actor, without showing your heavy burden..." V. Papazian theatre group Director Berge Fazlian and members of the troupe..." addressed during the meeting. As the theatre group members were so satisfied with the first meeting, a second lecture meeting was held on Sunday, December 6, in Zareh Noubar and entitled the "Soviet Armenian Theater" topic. The meeting was led by Y. Melidonian". On Monday, December 7, the students and teachers of AGBU Yervant Heussian Armenian Studies Institute attended Roupen Zartarian's lecture entitled "Shakespeare's Entry into the Armenian Theatre Reality". They started in the 17th century, with introductions, translations, performances, and the interpretation and understanding of the genius son of the Armenian stage, Bedros Atamian.----------
