1961 Apr 1-2-3 AGBU-AYA 5th Navasartian Games The culmination of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the foundation of the AGBU-Antranik Youth Association was the Navasartian Games, which have become a tradition of the Association and will take place almost once every two years. And this time, on the Thirtieth Anniversary, they were performed with glorious success on Saturday and Sunday, April 1 and 2. The qualifying games took place at the Beirut Municipality stadium, and the final rounds, the grand finale, and the Parade took place on Sunday afternoon at the State Stadium. The event was under the Auspices’ of the Prime Minister of Lebanon, HE Saeb Salam. The honorary lady of the day was Mrs. Nina Djidedjian, who had more than 20 Ladies and Maids of Honor with her. At 4:30, the Prime Minister arrived, accompanied by high-ranking guests, and the exciting competition began. A little later, the Parade started with the participation of more than 1,500 athletes. It was indeed an opportunity to see and admire, which flattered Armenian pride. The participants at Parade alongside the youth chapters in Lebanon, representative athletes from Aleppo and Damascus, chapters of the AYA, the juniors of the AGBU Yervant Demirdjian, Hovagimian-Manugian, Tarouhy Hagopian, and Lazar Nadjarian schools. Youth organizations from Amman, Jerusalem, Larnaca and the Melkonian Educational Institution. With many flags and billboards, led by Lib.Jandarmery Fanfare.
«ՀԲԸՄ-ՀԵԸնկերակցութեան հիմնադրութեան Երեսնամեակի հանդիսութեանց թափնեպսակը հանդիսացան ՀԵԸ-ի ալ աւանդական դարձած Նաւասարդեան խաղերը, որոնք գրեթէ ամէն երկու տարին անգամ մը տեղի կ'ունենան. և այս անգամ, Երեսնամեակի առթիւ, փառաւոր յաջողութեամբ մը կատարուեցան Շաբաթ և Կիրակի 1 և 2 Ապրիլին: Զտումի խաղերը տեղի ունեցան Պէյրութի քաղաքապետարանի դաշտին վրայ, իսկ վերջնական խաղերը և փառաշուք տողանցքը՝ Կիրակի կէսօրէ ետք, Պետական Մարզաւանին մէջ: Սոյն Մարզաւանը միջազգային չափանիշով կառուցուած է և կ'առնէ բազմահազար ժողովուրդ: Սոյն հանդէսը հովանաւորութիւնը կը վայելէր Լիբանանի Վարչապետ Սաէպ Սալամի: Օրուան Թագուհին էր Տիկ. Նինա Ճիտեճեան, ծանօթ վիրաբոյժ Տոքթ. Ճիտեճեանի Տիկինը, որ իր հետ ունէր աւելի քան 20 Պատուոյ Տիկիններ և Օրիորդներ: Ժամը 4:30ին ժամանեց Վարչապետը, ընկերակցութեամբ բարձրաստիճան հիւրերու, և սկսան հետաքրքրական մրցումները: Քիչ ետք սկսաւ տողանցքը աւելի քան 1500 մարզիկներու մասնակցութեամբ: Իսկապէս տեսնելու և հիանալու առիթ մըն էր, որ կը շոյէր հայուն հպարտութիւնը: Տողանցքին կը մասնակցէին ՀԵԸ-ի Հալէպի, Դամասկոսի, Զահլէի մասնաճիւղերը, ՀԲԸՄիութեան Երուանդ Տեմիրճեան, Յովակիմեան-Մանուկեան, Դարուհի Յակոբեան, Լազար Նաճարեան վարժարաններու ՀԵԸի կրտսերները: Ամմանէն, Երուսաղէմէն, Լառնագայէն երիտասարդական կազմակերպութիւններ և Մելգոնեան Կրթական Հաստատութիւնը: Բազմաթիւ դրօշակներով և ցուցատախտակներով, առաջնորդուած Լիբ. Ժանտարմրի նուագախումբի կողմէ, մարզիկներ երկար ժամանակ տողանցեցին հանդիսականներու առջեւէն, խլելով ծափահարութիւններ: Մինչ բարձրախօսը հայրենաշունչ խօսքերով կը խանդավառեր մարզիկները...»: (Hoosh 1961 Nov 15p9) (Kh 1961 Feb-Apr p234-243 15p9)
