AGBU 32nd Anniversary celebration in Zahle Arm. School.
On April 10, 1938, AGBU celebrated its 32nd Anniversary in Zahle Armenian School. The principal Mr. Balian spoke extensively about the AGBU, urging the students to work hard to enroll their family members in the Benevolent. The Zahle Armenian school, which owes its existence somehow to AGBU, since the school received from AGBU an amount that covered 2/3 of its total expenses. Under the direction of the school principal, Mr. H. Balian, and his initiative, dissertation exercises were held every Thursday, which parents sometimes attended. and the AGBU was often presented as a great and living example of care taking organization.
►«Զահլէ՝ «Տեղւոյս Ազգ. Վարժարանը, որ իր գոյութիւնը կը պարտի ՀԲԸՄիութեան, անկէ ստանալով իր ամբողջ ծախսին 2/3րդին հաւասար գումար մը: Տնօրէնութեամբ Յ. Պալեանի և նախաձեռնութեամբ, ամէն հինգշաբթի կը սարքենք ատենախօսութեան մարզանքներ, որոնց ներկայ կը գտնուին երբեմն ծնողներ ալ: Հոն աշակերտութեան կը խօսուին զանազան շինիչ նիւթերու շուրջ, և բարեգործութեան իբր մեծ ու կենդանի օրինակ կը ներկայացուի յաճախ ՀԲԸՄիութիւնը... Ապրիլ 10-ին դպրոցին մէջ տօնուեցաւ Բարեգործականի 32-րդ տարեդարձը: Պրն.
