1945 Jun 14: A valuable letter from E. C. Miller, Executive Secretary Near East Foundation, addressed to AGBU President Mr. A. Karageuzian “…During my recent visit to the Near East, I had the good fortune to visit with representatives of your worthy organization in both Beirut, Lebanon and Athens… On another occasion, Dr. Yenikomishian and Dr. Berberian escorted me to visit the Armenian Catholicos at Antelias. I think you will quite appreciate, this visit gave me unusual pleasure in that in 1929. At the time of my last visit to Lebanon, I had arranged for the transfer of what was then our Antelias property and utilized by us as an orphanage, to the Armenian church for the use of the Catholicos…” I consider the work being done in that district by the Armenian General Benevolent Union to be excellent and deserving of your through-going continuing support.
