1943 Nov 2 Dr. Dikran Berberian Reworded by the Lebanese Minister of Health! AGBU and Near East Foundation Malaria Control work in Lebanon
Nov. 2, 1943 SANITARY MEASURES OTHER THAN MALARIA CONTROL WORK Dr. Dikran Berberian Reworded by the Lebanese Minister of Health! The Medical subcommittee of the AGBU Relief Committee aims to concentrate on preventive measures rather than curative. For this reason, for the first time, last summer employed a number of Armenian medical students were in Ainjar and the Beirut River Area. The attached copies of the reports submitted by these two groups of students are self-explanatory. Suffice it to say that their work was greatly appreciated not only by the inhabitants of the districts, but also by the Department of Health of the Lebanese government as expressed in the following letter signed by the Minister of Health and by Chief Inspector of Health. On the occasion of the Anti-typhus vaccination campaign in the Armenian district of Bourg Hammoud, I take the pleasure of expressing to you my sincerest thanks for the cooperation that you have given along this line.
