ALEY National Elementary School End year Graduation event

Graduation event at the School hall.---------- For the Armenian community of Aley, consisting of around fifty families, the end-of-year celebration of their school, the Aley National Noubarian School, was an occasion of pure joy. The event took place on Sunday, June 25, 1972, in the school’s own hall. The venue was crowded with local community members, parents and relatives of the graduates, as well as a large number of friends of the school from Beirut.--------------- The two-hour-long program featured a rich artistic section, including fifteen choral performances, about ten group dances, recitations, and a theatrical performance, all prepared by Mr. Megerian. The Armenian dances choreographed by Sona Caloustian were highly appreciated by the audience.--------------------- Finally, the solemn moment of certificate distribution arrived. Amid thunderous applause, the beloved and respected principal of the school, Mr. Yervant Gerboyan, and the president of the school board, the well-known national figure, Mr. Bedros Keushgerian, stepped onto the stage to present the diplomas to the graduates.------------- Following the distribution of the certificates and the reading of a message prepared by the graduating class, the school principal, Mr. Gerboyan, delivered his speech. In his address, he emphasized the importance of Armenian national education and praised the invaluable contributions of the AGBU in this sacred mission.------------- Next, the president of the school board, Mr. Bedros Keushgerian, took the floor. Speaking candidly, he stated that throughout its thirty-year history, the school had gone through both good and difficult periods, but this year marked its most flourishing period ever.----------------
